Tulipwood Solid Wood Panels
Full stave Tulipwood panels are made from Liriodendron tulipifera L., a lightweight and easily workable wood species, particularly suitable for interior furniture applications and components intended for lacquered finishes.
We produce solid wood panels by gluing selected full-length staves with variable widths, creating solid full stave panels with uniform grain and a homogeneous surface. This configuration makes it possible to obtain a stable solid wood panel, suitable for precision machining.
Tulipwood features a medium, regular texture and straight grain, with an average density of 447 kg/m³, making it particularly lightweight compared to other wood species.
Its medium hardness and good workability make these solid wood panels ideal for doors, furniture structures, wall coverings and furnishing components not subject to heavy loads.
Although Tulipwood has low natural durability and limited impact resistance, it stands out for its ease of machining, stability in indoor environments and excellent performance under painting, especially for opaque finishes.
