Ash Solid Wood Panels
Ash full stave panels are made from Fraxinus excelsior L., a wood species appreciated in the furniture sector and in structural applications for its balance of mechanical strength, elasticity and dimensional stability.
We produce solid wood panels by gluing together selected full-length staves of variable width, in order to obtain solid wood full stave panels with continuous grain and aesthetic uniformity. This configuration makes it possible to create a stable, high-performing full stave panel suitable for precision workmanship.
Ash has a coarse texture and fairly straight, regular grain, with an average density of 720 kg/m³.
Its remarkable impact resistance and good flexibility make these solid wood panels particularly suitable for worktops, stair treads, light load-bearing structures and furnishing elements subject to dynamic stress.
Medium shrinkage and limited internal tension contribute to good long-term stability, while the workability of the material also allows use on CNC machines and customised finishes.
