Botanical name

Eucalyptus grandis

Red Grandis Window Scantlings

Red Grandis is a tree variety belonging to the Eucalyptus family and native to South America.

It is a hardwood with a reddish-pink colour, uniform grain and high resistance to moisture and weathering. Red Grandis window scantlings stand out for their high durability: they are resistant to rot, mould and fungi, as well as to attacks from insects such as carpenter ants, termites and powderpost beetles.

Thanks to its excellent workability, the material is flexible and absorbs adhesives, stains and finishes perfectly, making it ideal for the production of high-quality laminated window scantlings.

Its consistency, durability and high quality make it an excellent choice for the production of wooden windows. Red Grandis is also an ecological and sustainable product, grown in FSC®-certified plantations, and represents a valid alternative to many tropical hardwoods. Versatile and resistant, this wood is 100% FSC® certified.

Advantages of our profiles

Greater dimensional stability

The glued lamella structure helps compensate for the natural tensions of wood, ensuring excellent dimensional stability.

Ready for immediate use

The material is supplied planed to size and can be used directly in production machinery.

Greater productivity

Dimensions and quantities can be adapted to the customer’s specific requirements, reducing waste, financial stock immobilization and the risk of material deterioration.

Simplified budget planning

Our scantlings allow manufacturers to calculate quantities, material costs and processing times with greater accuracy.
