Steamed Beech Finger Joint Panels

Steamed beech finger joint panels are made from Fagus sylvatica L., selected and bonded using finger joint technology to ensure structural continuity, dimensional stability and aesthetic uniformity.

The steaming treatment gives the wood a more uniform colour and improved visual appearance, while maintaining the high mechanical performance typical of beech. Finger joint technology optimises the use of the material, reduces internal stresses and produces panels with consistent structural behaviour. With an average density of 730 kg/m³, steamed beech offers high mechanical performance:

  • Axial compression strength: average value 61 MPa
  • Bending strength: average value 118 MPa
  • Modulus of elasticity: average value 14,700 MPa

The high hardness and strong impact resistance make steamed beech finger joint panels particularly suitable for technical furniture, worktops, structural components and precision machining, even under repeated stress.

Although this wood species has high shrinkage and internal stress, the production process and moisture control make it possible to obtain panels that are stable, workable and compatible with CNC machining and custom finishes.

Advantages of our panels

Dimensional
stability

Bonded laminated structure made with carefully dried, pre-planed, selected lamellas, length-jointed with a high-quality finger joint, planed and bonded to ensure maximum stability for the intended use.

Ready
to use

Material supplied calibrated and ready to be used on machines for milling, or ideal for direct finishing by oiling, lacquering or varnishing.

Easy storage

Large-size formats for better storage and assortment optimisation.

Reliable packaging

Each panel is individually shrink-wrapped to prevent damage and deformation caused by humidity variations.
