Steamed beech wood panels for stairs are made from Fagus sylvatica L., a wood species with high mechanical performance, used in the production of stairs and structural components where strength, precision and compactness of the material are required.
Steamed beech features a very fine texture and grain that is not always straight, with an average density of 730 kg/m³.
Its high hardness and excellent impact resistance make this material suitable for the production of treads, risers and load-bearing stair components, even under repeated loads and stress.
Despite the high shrinkage and internal tension typical of this wood species, proper selection and processing allow us to obtain reliable and workable panels, also suitable for CNC machining. Its medium flexibility ensures a controlled structural response, while the homogeneous appearance of steamed beech is well suited to uniform finishes.
